Description

Gatopod™ CV 100 is an enhanced, dual-action antibiotic combination formulated to treat resistant and severe bacterial infections. Combining a third-generation cephalosporin (Cefpodoxime) with a beta-lactamase inhibitor (Potassium Clavulanate), it effectively overcomes bacterial resistance, ensuring higher efficacy against acute respiratory tract infections, otitis media, sinusitis, skin infections, and urinary tract infections.

Composition (Per Dispersible Tablet)

  • Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP: Equivalent to Cefpodoxime 100 mg

  • Potassium Clavulanate IP: Equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 62.5 mg (standard active ratio for 100mg Cefpodoxime combinations)

Key Benefits

  • Enhanced Antibacterial Efficacy: Potassium Clavulanate prevents bacterial enzymes (beta-lactamases) from inactivating Cefpodoxime, broadening its spectrum.

  • Fights Resistant Pathogens: Highly effective against beta-lactamase-producing bacterial strains responsible for recurrent or stubborn infections.

  • Dispersible Formulation: Easily disperses in water for convenient administration, especially for pediatric patients or adults with difficulty swallowing.
